Fish are definitely on the menu after Hutton’s Group helped send a brand new trawler off to sea.
Hutton’s supplied Kirkella, a freezer stern trawler owned by UK Fisheries and operated by Marr Management Ltd, with fresh and frozen produce for the 30-strong team of crew, as well as bonded stores, medical equipment, deck and engine consumables.
The specially designed trawler has a capacity for 1,200 tons of fish which are stored onboard at a temperature of -30oC. It has now embarked on a 60-day voyage in the Barents Sea.
